Homeland: Jacob was born to a small family in a nation engrossed in a civil war. Fighting was constantly in the streets around Jacob's Neighborhood. Nowhere could you go and be safe. Often, areas of the country were bombed, with either explosives, or biological weaponry. Bodies were pilled on the streets, and most people looked dead anyway. There wasn't enough food, and disease abounded. It wasn't a very happy place.

Appearance: He is around 5ft 11in somewhere. He is of light skin color, and has jet black hair commonly in a spiral shape. His eyes are completely glazed over black from his childhood accident. He has his blades in their scabbards crisscrossing his back. He commonly wears a black scarf aroudn his neck to help keep him warm durring long flights. He wears a white shirt usually and gray pants. He wears black sandals. He allways wears red tinted sunglasses that hide his grotesque, blind eyes. He is quite muscled and it shows. The sunglasses also cover the light purple circles under his eyes because of lack of sleep. He has a black wristwatch on his hand to keep the time.

Personality: Jacob is one of the nicest people you could meet, unless you are on his bounty list. He is into bounty hunting for the challenge, and for the money. He is touchy about few things, but don't speak down to him, or with pitty about his blindness. It really annoys him. He is easy to be with, and doesn't pry about things if someone doesn't want to say it. His favorite things to do are to soar through the air, and to deface public property. He doesn't mind harming other people in his attempts to get a bounty. He likes to annoy people by ignoring them or pretending he can't hear them, which of course he can. He likes to have friends, especialy ones he doesn't need to protect. He also enjoys throwing chairs when he is frustrated, or blowing up buildings. He enjoys making dramatic entries by floating in majesticaly.

History/Character's Background Story: The first battle of the war starts with a bomb that explodes in the street. Biological waste spreads out in a sphere. Little three year old Jacob stares with his eyes open wide as the blast approaches his sandbox. There is no time to even cry out. He wakes up on his bed in his room, without sight. His parents stare with pitty at their child. Jacob cries out, but tears won't release from his eyes.

Jacob is now five years old. He hasn't been outside in weeks, the fighting is too fierce. His house has become a stronghold thanks to his uncle and his dad. There is no way anyone can get in, and the explosives won't have enough of an impact. He most allways sits in a chair in his room, lifting small weights. He allready knows what he wants to do when he gets older, but his father allways laughs at him. He wishes to be an excellent swordsman despite his blindness. His father is a great swordsman but won't teach Jacob because he believes that he can never do anything again, due to his blindness.

Jacob is now six years old. He has become quite adept at things despite being blind. He has developed his own way of seeing, and has learned how to use his enhanced senses. His father has finnaly agreed to teach him swordsmanship. The training was grueling the first few weeks, but after that he started getting the hang of it. His will to succeed and his determination help him in the training. By the age of 9 he had become very adept at swordsmanship and his father decided to teach him techniques to aid his sworsmanship. His father continued teaching him until the age of 12, when he was killed on an excursion from the house to get food. After this Jacob's uncle took over Jacob's learning. By the age of 13 Jacob had started learning the lightning element from his uncle, and by 14 he had become quite adept with it. It was at this time that the civil war ended. After years of staying mostly inside Jacob exits the house, to find ruin all around. He decides to leave this country for good, and has traveled the world, progressing even further than his father in swordsmanship, and beyond his uncle in techniques. He is now 17, and is in the area near Sentou Gakuin.

RPing Sample: Jacob steps outside, his step slowing as he progresses until he is at a complete halt about a yard from the door of his house. It had been years since he had stepped foot outside, and he could now 'see' the destruction that the civil war had wrought upon the land. The surrounding building are eroded, and decrepit, most of them just rubble. Jacob stands in awe, of the power of war. But this isn't all that bad of a day. The sun was out, with few clouds in the sky. After years of being indoors, this in itself was amazing. Jacob cranes his head skyward, to let his face feel the full force of the sun's rays. He hadn't felt anything like that for a long time. He snifs the air, and is amazed. The air had such a different smell outside, less....stuffy. Unfortunately, Jacob's awe is cut short, by a fast approaching person. By Jacob's measure, the person didn't yet know Jacob was there, but they would soon if Jacob didn't do something. Jacob hadn't had much contact with people other than his imidiate family, and he might as well meet the person. Jacob tries to get the person's attention. "Hello there!"


A man suddenly walks around the corner. He is dressed in full armor, and is carying a large gun across his back. He has grenades strapped around his waist, and a sword on the hip. He spies Jacob and pulls the gun down off of his back and aims it at Jacob. "You, who are you!"


Jacob smiles. The person's voice was gruff, not that very different from his uncle's. "I'm Jacob Smith...I live in that house behind me. Who might you be?"


"That's none of your buisness boy. And if you are of that house....well you shouldn't still be alive. My bosses would probably want you dead anyhow..." The man starts to fire the gun. It is an automatic machine gun.


Jacob's smile fades as the man talks. With blinding speed he draws both blades from his back. As the gun starts to fire, one of the blades forms into a sheild of crystal in front of Jacob, blocking the bullets. Jacob steps forward, holding the sheild, and walks towards the man, bullets parting around him. He eventualy arrives right in front of the man, and stops.


The man's awe had grown as Jacob progressed, and as he was now before him, the bullets being blocked by some shield, he is amazed. "Who....who are you!" He stops the gun, and reaches for a grenade.


The shield retracts, and the reaching hand is cut off, along with the hand holding the gun. Jacob's blades appear to have barely moved. "I don't enjoy taking lives, but i will if i must. Leave....now...."


The man takes the advice, and runs.
