The Shift Blade

Name: Referred as the Shift Blade

Appearance: The Shift Blade has four different forms, meaning four different appearances, one for each form. The appearance of each form is a determining factor of what it does in each form. In form one the sword looks like an average katana with minor differences. Form one of the Shift Blade has a dark blue pommel with intersecting diamond shapes rotating all around the pommel. The blade itself looks fairly average but may be slightly more shiny than other blades because of the care that Jisenki gives it. The hanguard is black and the design, which can be seen by looking overhead, are four arrow-like openings that are there solely for design. Besides that, it is fairly longer than an average katana, being 6 feet in length which gives it more range as well. In form two the sword has no handguard or grip. It is a silver blade with a red glare on it. It also has eyes on both sides of the pommel, that do move around in response to the surroundings, which has been flattened slightly in this form. The blade overall in the second form resembles a dragon. In the final form the pommel has reformed again and has taken a bright fire red color. The blade itself is a red-blue color and is very sharp. The third form has a chain connecting an average katana to a curved blade. The chains are made of lightning, are light blue, and can make the reach of the weapon longer as well. Energy emits from the sword constantly, keeping it from being broken.

Effects:

-Form 1: The Shift Blade in this form has no major benefits to it besides it extended and enhanced reach. When in battle, this blade is handy for attacking as it has a very high hit percentage. Being so great at hitting the opponent, the Shift Blade in this form increases the Attack and/or Special Dice of the user by 3 as long as the technique being used while this is equipped is of Swordsman warrior Type.

-Form 2: This form is designed specifically for defending against the attacks of opponents. In this form, the short and wide build of the blade allows it be a more sturdy force, allowing Jisenki to take cover behind it when he needs to block himself. The eyes on the blade also allow it to see whenever Jisenki can't too. In battle, when defending using a Defense Dice or a Special Dice, the dice roll is increased by 5. When using a Swordsman type Counterattack that uses a Counter Dice, the dice roll is increased by 3.

-Form 3: This is Jisenki's quick-ace form. In this form, Jisenki's Shift Blade transforms into a weapon that allows him to perform techniques that are all-around, allowing him to adapt in most situations. While in use, all of Jisenki's Dice Rolls are increased by 3. Also, any techniques that the opponent use that are either Fire, Lightning, or contain both of the elements and are used against Jisenki will decrease in Dice Roll value by 1.

History: This weapon, known as the Shift Blade, was a weapon that Jisenki found as a little child a little while after his father was killed. It was
actually because of this sword that his father was killed since his father had stolen this sword for his own purposes but was not able to activate its special abilities to defend himself. Only a truly skilled swordsman is able to use this sword to the full extent and each form is activated only when a certain condition is met. As Jisenki grew with this sword, he unlocked the forms of this blade and learned some of its hidden talents. The history behind the sword itself is not yet known to Jisenki, but what is known to him is that the sword is a living being itself and is capable of communicating with Jisenki with the sword's own psychic abilities. This sword was actually formed from a great dragon known as Ragnarok Arcanus. This dragon was defeated in battle only once and as condition to his defeat, he was cursed and turned into the sword. Legend has it that one day, a person will be able to control the power of Ragnarok as both a dragon and a weapon. The dragon still has consciousness, which is seen when it communicates with Jisenki in its second form. Originally, Jisenki thought that only three forms existed, but ever since his training with Karilu, he has unlocked a new fourth form that has changed everything that he once knew about the weapon's strengths. With no help from the soul of the sword, Jisenki has no idea whether the fourth form is the final form or not.
