Depression Ensues... Empty Depression Ensues...

Post by Dagomis November 9th 2009, 9:24 pm

Yuko walked into the room that had once been the study of Dagomis. The news that Dagomis had left her behind was still fresh in her mind, they had a blood pact and were partners, but he so easily left her behind to go train in a place that she was not so certain of. No tears streamed her face, though she felt great sadness deep within her heart, she did nothing but sat in the chair that had once been Dagomis'. There was nothing that she could do at the moment but sit there with an empty face and a full heart. Her lifeless eyes reflected the moonlight that came through the window of the study. She stared at the moon thinking of the night during which she had been reborn, but this was nothing like that. she felt no joy, no rebirth, only sadness and death on a level that she could have never reached before...maybe this was yet another ability of Dagomis that totally changed her life without her consent or knowledge. As the moonlight hit her eyes, the words came to her and showed the words before her eyes in the moonlight. Dagomis had left a burden on her with the fact that she had been left behind. She looked toward the books that had been those of Dagomis' personal studies and techniques. A single book had been withdrawn slightly from the shelf. The spine was a little frayed and it was clear that someone had been using this book often. She totally withdrew the book and opened it. It was full of the notes of Dagomis about the diagrams of his techniques: the strengths, the weaknesses, and the possibilities. She flipped through the pages and turned to a page that held notes for his class. They detailed the class schedules, his expectations of the different students and his hopes for the class. Everything was in there for her to teach. Dagomis had once again aided her, he had not left her high and dry rather with everything she needed to take his place. Though this stood in front of her, she still kept empty eyes and let the light shine from them. She still kept the sadness straight in the deepest part of her heart.

Depression Ensues... Empty Re: Depression Ensues...

Post by Dagomis February 14th 2010, 12:50 pm

[Months later...]

Yuko flipped the last page of the book, as her eyes trailed the page. She had read the story, a story that seemed to be engineered to her tastes and what she looked for in a story. Her mind remained on one word as she finished the book Happiness; it had been the last word of the book and the word that completed everything for her. She closed the door behind her and walked up to the study. Her step were light, lighter than they had been since she and this house had been left behind. Each step had a weight about it, like gliding through the air from the floor of the 1st floor to the floor of the 2nd floor and the doorway of the library. The book fell to her side as she moved through the door and sat in the chair. In the moment, the chair lost vacancy and Yuko found comfort, the book gained a pale glow; not immediately noticeable rather like the moonlight hitting the window sill. The glow grew into a brighter glow, apparent but not brilliant. But the step up was enough for Yuko to notice. She brought the book up to her face and read the now present glowing letters on a new page. It was a letter, written in a brilliant calligraphy, seemingly written for whoever finished the book. Yuko flipped to the page and began to read. When she finished she stood up and walked out of the room. Her footsteps were no longer light as air, they were once again heavy. She stomped outside and turned to face the door and the face of the house when she was completely through.

Tears were in her eyes, as she withdrew her guns and pointed them at the house. The memories flashed through her mind as her finger became tighter around the trigger. All the good memories, her first time in the house, games of chess in the war room, training in the house, swimming in the pool and tending the garden. These were all the best memories for her since her new life began and now she had to destroy them. Her tears turned into streams as sparks ignited from the opening of the barrel and a flaming bullet darted forth. The house was hit and ignited in the matter of a second. She fell to her knees, tears flooding her face and hitting the ground, making small puddles. The house burned brilliantly, the ash swirled through the air rather than hitting the ground and moved onward. It was all gone with in seconds and the only thing remaining was a single bullet on the land where the house had once been. Yuko, barely able to see, moved to the bullet and loaded it into the gun. She brought it to her head, shaking incredibly. She tried to steady it against her temple, as the tears streamed down. When it was the closest to being steady as it could be, she pulled the trigger. The click and boom was the last thing that she heard as her body fell to the ground, lifeless, face covered in blood and tears.
