Homeland: Shane was born in a time period almost 3000 years later than the time period in which Sentou Gakuin exists as an actual school. In Shane's time, he lived in a country called Neros in the far west. Even in his time, Neros was considered a very technologically advanced country, and Shane's home city was the captial, Orion. The city's government consists of a beauracracy, meaning that there is a large council in the city where the leaders of all the country's major leaders meet to make major decisions. On a smaller level, each city has a leader who creates and enforces decisions and laws on a more localized level. There is not much landscape in Neros, since the large majority of the country is urbanized. While the air and land are not very polluted thanks to advances in recycling technology, much of the landscape has been razed to make more room for more houses and cities. What there is though is quite beautiful, including several large valleys and a few smaller lakes and rivers running through. In this time period a technology known as an virtu-tool has been created which uses electrical pulses to convert data into physical constructs used for various purposes, from weapons (for licensed users only), to tools for repairing technology or vehicles, to tools used in first aid.

Physical Description[Appearance]: Shane is about 5'11" tall, weighing at about 168 lbs. His build is not bulky, but very athletic, perfect for good agility and potentially high speed combat. His muscle is mostly lean and corded, hiding his true physical prowess. His arms are just slightly longer than usual, giving him a good reach with his contruct sword, and has long fingers, giving him a good grip on his sword's hilt. His frame is about medium, still very light and lithe, but sturdy enough to give him a strong stature. His hair is shorter, stopping about halfway down his neck. It is almost always in a messy-feathered combo- a unqiue hairstyle. It is very fine though not brittle, and his pure, 100% black, with a slight sheen to it. At the front it falls in long bangs, covering his forehead and eyebrows; they part at the middle of his forehead in a small heart-shaped space. His eyes are large and intelligent, with a measuring, interested gaze that never seems to leave them. They are an almost dusty, light brown color, but not so dull as to seem lifeless; the color contrasts well with his gaze. His skin has very few blemmishes and is somewhat fair, with a slight tan from all time that he spends outside. He can usually be seen wearing casual clothes for the time period, including a pair of slightly loose cargo styled pants, a sleeveless or short sleeved shirt and light, soft leather boots (made for mobility in combat and everyday life) along with a signature black leather glove that he always wears on his virtu-tool hand to hide the projection matrices which are visible enough on his palm and finger tips. His clothing of course will change with the weather and situation. His features are well balanced and at the same time slightly angled, more graceful, making him quite attractive and interesting looking as well.

Personality: To a point, Shane is your standard "knight in shining armor" type of guy. He is painfully chivalrous at times, particularly with women which, unwittingly, often draws and attracts them to him. He absolutely refuses to attack an unarmed or back-facing enemy which can sometimes be a problem with less honorable fighters. He is though, not stupid or naive, and is generally a good judge of someone's intentions. He has a very strong sense of justice, instilled in him by his mother before her tragic death. He can't stand to watch someone who doesn't deserve it be wrongly treated or unjustly judged, often jumping to the defense of people in such a situation. As a result of his father's "condition" because of his mother's death, Shane is a very determined, active young man. He hates to sit still or stop doing things, afraid to end up inactive and without purpose like his father. It is a slight flaw because he is sometimes almost obsessive with staying active. He refuses to step down from a challenge or fight if he can possibly deal with it. He does have a pretty short temper and a short wit to match, so he occasionally rubs shoulders with people because of his sarcastic tendencies. He is all in all though a very charismatic, charming person, easy to be friends with and easy to talk to, though he sometimes shuts people out when he's focusing on something. Though he knows he has to learn to control it, he is almost afraid of his electrokinetic abilities, reluctant to use them in battle, and so he usually focuses on his swordplay skills in combat in training. He loves to spend time with his friends and to meet new people as often as possible.

History/Background Story: Shane was born in a time period almost 3000 years after Sentou Gakuin's time. He was born in one of the rougher areas in Orion, Neros' capital. He grew up a seeing a lot of crime and injustice happening in the city, and seeing no real consequences to the culprits. At a young age his mother, named Sharon, was murdered while returning home from one of her many jobs, and he and his father Aaron had to take care of themselves. His father though, once a strong, convicted man, was put almost into a shock by his mother's death so really though, Shane took care of himself. He spent alot of time in the main city, and especially around a company called Novita's enormous research and development building at the city's center. From a young age, Shane had been watching others use their virtu-tools (although he could not afford one) and had always been interested in the amazing technology. While most of Shane's early was peaceful (if hard), later on it became a lot more difficult. As he grew older, he became a strong, independent young man, with a little bit of a temper problem. As a result, past the age of about thirteen, Shane began to get involved in a lot of disputes and often ended up fighting other guys. He had a natural affinity for fighting in general and quickly became a self-proclaimed enforcer around the city for its good people, gaining a reputation as a tough fighter and just person. Shortly after turning 17, Shane had an encounter which would change his life forever. One day while hanging out outside of the Novita R&D building, he noticed a suspicious woman approaching the building via a narrow alley carrying a matte black case. Upon approaching to investigate the woman, she was set upon by several trained men he identified as working for a local organized crime syndicate, apparently wanting the case. Without really thinking, Shane jumped in the middle of the dispute, attempting to fight off the men. He nearly succeeded but had his arm critically damaged and was knocked unconcious. He awoke several hours later in the R&D building's medical wing, to a very much thankful woman by the name of Sharon Lexia, a scientist working for a largely unknown department of Novita. She would be the catalyst for the changes that would lead Shane to his current predicament. Upon her report of the incident to the head researcher at the R&D department, it became aparent that Shane had a gift for fighting and a rare and admirable sense of justice and chivalry. In addition, during the fighting, he displayed signs of electrical discharge from his body (a sign of the development of a mutation known during the time as electrokinesis), which meant that he might be able to take the high voltage output that would result from what they had planned for him. As a result he was put into a Novita project known as Project Cybernet, which was an attempt to integrate virtu-tools directly into the human body and nervous system for more applicable and versatile uses. Shane had always wished desperately for a purpose, a reason for his existence, afraid of ending up like his almost completely inactive father and so immediately accepted. His critically injured appendige was implanted with a prototype cybernetic virtu-tool which was used to repair his arm and prepare him for his coming assignment. He was immediately offered a position in a newly formed security department for the protection of high priority people and technology. For the next three years he worked in the city protecting the R&D's precious scientists and developing, while developing a very close relationship with Ms. Lexia, who ended up being his top level superior. At the age of nineteen, yet another event occured which would change his life forever. Shortly after his twentieth birthday, Sharon Lexia (while debriefing him on his newest assignment) revealed a Novita section called the Chronology Department, who's objective was to develop a form of linear time travel. Shane would be assigned to protect the workstation at all times, to make sure that no rival companies or criminals got their hands on the growing project. The project had been started some time ago, and within a few months a working prototype had been created and tested. One evening, Shane was at his post, protecting the device, when a group of men hired by a powerful criminal organization with its hands in many levels of government and economics entered the facility, let in by none other than Sharon Lexia herself. Distracted by the shock of his former friend and colleague's betrayal, Shane was easily defeated. To make sure that there would be no chance of him revealing their plans, Shane was put into the machine and sent into the past. It was only meant to send him about one hundred years back, but because of some struggling that he put up with his virtu-tool, the machine was damaged and sent him back 3000 years. His exit point from the time stream was a the Akamori Forest outside of Sentou Gakuin. Distraught and in shock from the recent events (along with of course being sent back into the past), he stumbled aimlessly through the forest, eventually emerging in a small city just outside the forest. There he stayed for a year, wallowing in self-pity and cursing himself for not expecting the treachery he had been subject to. However, he could not relax or sulk for long. Deciding that allowing him to live (even in the past and particularly with his virtu-tool) Sharon sent back several assasins to take him out. They eventually arrived in the city and found him. They were equipped with old melee weapons in order to blend in, and so Shane was initially unable to fight back. During the fight, his virtu-tool reacted to the situation, and his entire tool-set shifted to some appropriate the time period, leaving him with a contruct weapon similar to his oppenents', due to a protocol meant to allow the user to adapt to multiple combat situations. Despite this he was still beaten, out of practice from a year of inactivity. It was now though, that his electrokinesis showed itself again, reacting to the near-death situation. The assasins were ultimately killed because of a high power electrical surge, and Shane was left realizing that this world was unsafe with him in it. He had to find a way to get back to his own time, so that he could stop Sharon from fulfilling her assumedly sinister plans for the chronotechnology. He had heard of an acadamy nearby by the name of Sentou Gakuin, where not only great warriors, but great minds met to train and become stronger. Coupled with a desire to learn control over his newfound ability, he travelled to and enrolled in the acadamy, hoping to find someone who could help him find a way back to his own time.
