Skye's Techniques [Finished]

Name: Blackfire Moon
Range: Far
Dice Usage: Special
Attack Power: 65
Tsukara Value: 70
Warrior Affinity: Swordsman/Spellcaster
Elemental Affinity: Fire
Benefit: Offensive
Description: Skye holds his scythe behind him, the blade of the scythe the blade closest to the ground, point facing outwards towards the enemy. He places his other hand on the gem in the center of the haft of the weapon. Through his hand, Skye then channels fire energy through the gem and into the weapon. Since the black gem is full of dark energy, as the fire energy travels through the gem, the fire becomes tainted with dark energy, flowing down the haft and into the crook of the blade. Skye then swings the scythe further back and swings it forwards until the blade is at the top and resting on his shoulder, then pulls the scythe back and swings it forwards, simultaneously releasing the energy in a burst. This results in a crescent of fire, pearl in the middle and dark purple on the outside and about two feet in height and about six inches in depth. This attack has a chance to inflict a minor burn on the enemy which damages them for 10 points of damage for the next two turns.

Description: Skye holds his scythe out length ways, and makes a prayer gesture with his hands, balancing the haft of the scythe on his thumbs. He stands like this for about a second, channeling his energies, then stabs the haft of the scythe into the ground, blade facing up. He then draws in the air with his fingers, leaving behind a trail of white light wherever his fingers pass. He quickly makes a symbol in the air featuring a diamond, slashed diagonally by a line with the whole thing surrounded by a circle. He touches the circle with his palm, and several complex symbols appear in around the circle. A small pearl white and dark purple vortex appears from in front of him, and from it emerge six or seven chains of solidified wind energy that are very long, and form a veritable minefield of chains around Skye floating in mid-air. If an attack makes contact with the chains, they blast outwards in a wave of high speed wind in the direction that the attack came from. The positioning of the chains is up to Skye. If the attack is melee, more often than not the attack will be canceled out, and the person forced backwards. However, if the attack is projectile, unless it is very weak (30 attack power or less) it will continue towards its target. The wind though, will buffer the attack, lowering its attack power by 20.

Description: Skye shifts his scythe to his left hand and holds it, the blade-end of the scythe facing outwards, away from him. He holds his hand in a ninja-like orientation, and then shifts it to a single forefinger facing outwards. On his right arm the red ring of symbols flashes brightly for a moment, and a small rune embossed circle of red light appears in front of his finger. After this, a beam of red light, white light spiraling around it, fires from his finger, about four inches in diameter. This attack does piercing damage, and so if it scores a hit can penetrate the enemy and hamper movement, reducing their evade dice by 1 for the next turn. The beam, while initially traveling straight, can be moved left or right like a whip by Skye moving his arm in the appropriate direction. At the expense of an extra 30 tsukara points, the technique can be locked onto the target for a turn. Once this happens, if the attack is left alone, it will only follow the enemy; if the attack is maneuvered by Skye, then it will move in the direction he dictates, and then resume following the enemy, making various strategies a possibility. In addition, since the attack locks on to its opponent, Skye's attack roll that turn is increased by two.

Description: Skye holds his scythe vertically and concentrates, drawing energy into the haft of his scythe, which begins to glow a purplish blue. The glow becomes brighter and brighter until it becomes a purple shine flashing fourth from the entire scythe. After a moment it flashes once more and an egg of purple wind forms around Skye. This shield is all-purpose for both projectiles and physical attacks, and moves with Skye. The shield will, obviously, last until it has been depleted. The shield can absorb roughly 150 points of damage before it breaks, so maybe 3 techniques on average. If damage done to it exceeds 150 total, then the last amount will be absorbed to 150 and then the rest will hit Skye. (50 60 70= 30 damage to Skye). The shield also has a slight counterattacking ability. When the shield is broken, it sends out a short range razor sharp blast of wind which can deal 20 damage if the enemy is in range, being about a yard in any direction.

Benefit: Offensive

Description: Skye raises his scythe into the air lengthwise, and begins to spin it over his head. It goes faster and faster, in seconds becoming a blur, lifting Skye a couple of centimeters off of the ground. After a moment the scythe flashes violet, turning the whole thing into something resembling a violet saw blade. After a moment he lands again, stopping the scythe abruptly. When this happens, a radial blast of razor sharp wind blasts outwards from Skye, expanding outwards for about 8 meters in all directions. Anyone caught in the blast is thrown backwards and cut by the high speed winds. This attack is not generally used for one enemy, but rather as a "space clearer" used against multiple surrounding enemies in an attempt to create an opening for an assault or escape when the situation seems dire.

Description: Skye places his hands palms together and bows his head as if in prayer. After a moment the black ring of symbols on his arm flashes and seems to raise itself up into the air around Skye's arm. When Skye separates his hands, on each one is a glowing purple dragoon mark, which known only to Skye (as a dragoon) means "net" or "capture". Skye then rushes his opponent and must touch them with at least one of his palms, which imprints the symbol onto the opponent. Once the symbol has been imprinted upon the target, their fate (as in being effected by the attack) is sealed.* At any point after this, Skye can clap his hands together again to activate the effects of this attack. Upon his doing so, the mark on the opponent flashes, and for a moment they are frozen in place. Streams of darkness rise up around the opponent and form a cage around them, hemming them in. For every turn that they are trapped inside, the opponent takes only 10 points of damage. However, they also lose 60 tsukara points. In addition, Skye gains 30 back. The net can take about 120 points of damage before breaking. (This is so they won't be stuck indefinately in there, which wouldn't be fiar. In fact, if the opponent is strong enough, they may only be stuck in there for a turn.)

*This means that the roll for this technique when Skye uses it is for whether or not his palms make contact, rather than whether the actual attack takes effect or not.

Description: Skye stabs his scythe into the ground, crossing his hands over his chest. He closes his eyes, muttering an incantation, which can be translated into: "Way to Darkness, Key to Shadow, Rise Up, and Show Foes Your True Power....Quiver in Fear..." Skye then opens his eyes, the pupils gone and irises shining bright violet. Darkness rises up around his body in tendrils, wrapping around it like a cocoon. He remains this way for one turn. While the cocoon can not be damaged or destroyed, Skye can be minimally damaged while inside, though all attacks are reduced to a fourth of their power. After a turn, the cocoon blasts open, dealing 15 damage if an enemy is in range. Skye emerges, completely changed. Skye has completely given himself over to his dragoon side, allowing it become his primary being. This increases his power tremendously for a time and a price. His eyes are deep purple and have no pupils, his hair has become waist length and wild looking, bangs covering his forehead and eyebrows. His wings are now fully extended, casting dual shadows behind him. His nails and teeth grow into claws and fangs, and his skin becomes flinty and scaly, becoming tough and rigid. While in this form, his muscular power is much improved, increasing his speed and strength greatly. His skin being so tough increases his resistance to damage by vast amounts. As a result, for the next five turns, his attack, defense, and evade rolls are increased by three. In addition, all direct damage is increased by 20. However, there is a bit of a set back to this ability. Upon return to normal, this transformation has put great strain on his body, and his muscles can not take too much of the strain. The move can be made to last for more than five turns, but for each turn after the fifth, this ability saps 100 health from Skye, so he must sacrifice much to stay stronger for longer.

Blackfire Moon is very well thought out, but in order for it to inflict additional damage after its initial damaged is carried out, it would need to be Special. That's one option. The other option is to omit to part from 'can inflict minor burn' to the end.

the attack is maneuvered by Skye, then it will move in the direction he

This part I don't quite understand. What does it exactly do by you paying 30? Is this simply for RPing purposes or does it affect the opponent's character or your character in any way during the battle? Also, this would also need to be Special.

Tempest Shield will also need to be Special since it lasts until the shield is destroyed and goes beyond a simple defense for a single turn. Violet Razor requires Special as well because it lowers your dice unless you omit that part.

Finally, Dragoon Transformation requires the Offensive benefit as well as Supplementary since it can also inflict damage.
