Hirona Rein (WIP)

Homeland: Rein is originally from the land of Ikusa, a small, war torn country, allied with the organization known as Suzaku. It is a mainly military country, mostly focused on the acquisition of more land and power. They have a strong, organized military, and all male children are forced to go into training for a year at the age of 15, and then serve until they are 30. They are allied with the organization of Suzaku, in the belief that if they serve them and their interests, that Suzaku will one day provide them with an army powerful enough to conquer the known world. Ikusa was once a beautiful land, filled with clear water lakes and plains and forests. However, the constant battles for control which take place regularly have sculpted the land into a war scarred wasteland. Where once there were lush, green plains there are now only scorched battlefields, and where there were once great forests there are only dead white trees, bereft of leaves and any kind of foliage.

Appearance:


Despite his blood-drenched past, Rein actually has a very innocent, boyish appearance. He is about 5'10" tall, and weighs around 150 pounds. Despite his small stature, his build is actually quite lithe and toned, thanks to his practice of the martial arts, combined with his training as a soldier. In order to hide this, he generally wears baggy clothes, in order to keep the element of surprise intact. Rein's skin is light, but slightly tanned due to the long amount of time that he spent outside during training. He has naturally very messy red-brown hair which is short cut, stopping at the nape of his neck. At the back the bangs fall straight and short, but at the front they fall long, covering most of his forehead and stopping almost exactly where his eyes start. His eyes are relatively large and innocent looking. However, a give away of bloody past and nature is the fact that his eyes are blood red, and are steely, showing almost no emotion, and with a gaze that could peer straight through you. Rein has a slightly small nose and mouth, which are actually quite proportional to his boyish face. His arms and legs as well as his hands and feet are proportional as well, and fit his body adequately. In reality Rein is actually quite handsome, but due to his nature, he has never pursued any but one relationship, which ended in disaster. Generally Rein wears a casual set of clothes consisting of a loose fitting purple short sleeved sweatshirt, open in the front with the hood off of his head over a casual long sleeved black shirt along with a black belt with a silver buckle, a pair of dark blue loose fitting cargo pants, and a pair of black and white high topped sneakers.

Personality: Rein is anti social by nature, and generally tends to shy away from contact with other people. Due to the "lessons" drilled into his head as a soldier, he has a tendency to be distrusting of anyone that he doesn't know thoroughly, which makes it difficult for him to get close to people. He is also very inwardly focused, meaning that he is almost always in a shell of calm and sureness which makes him seem unfeeling or uncaring to some people. While are there are some kinds of people who can draw him out of his shell, he spends most of his time on his own, seperate from the other students at the acadamy. His goals include getting strong enough to fight back against Suzuki for what it did to him, which is the reason that he came to the acadamy in the first place. He also intends to perfect his styles of martial arts which would bring honor to his family, as it would make their name well known. He enjoys nature, reading, practicing, and the moon, which he feels a strange attraction to. He dislikes people who are obnoxious or annoying by nature, being around people for an extended period of time (he doesn't like it, but can deal with it), and people who value only power above everything else.

History/Character's Background Story:

I'll just comment on this a bit since you aren't done but like a Progress Report of sorts just so you know how you're doing. From what I see, it is very good. I see no flaws in this so far but just one thing that caused me to be a bit curious was how you are allied with Sentou Gakuin but your homeland is allied with Suzaku. There isn't anything wrong with that though and I know that you'll probably elaborate more once you finish the history.
